Our Wedding: The Pictures!

Yeah, finally I was able to make a selection out of 903 pictures and make a collection to put them here on the blog! Believe me when I say that it was a “hard” job to do!
Before I continue, I have to say that there are a lot more pictures but I still have to receive those from a lot of people. So as soon as I have that, I’ll put them online too!

So here they are.. 203 pictures of our wedding! Please click here to go the Gallery page or click on the picture below!

The First Post As A Married Couple!

Yeah, and we’re finally married and this will be the first (small) post as a married couple!

On our wedding day, everything was exactly how we hoped it to be and therefore the wedding day was just PERFECT for both of us! We did enjoy it a lot; from the start till the end and that’s important, right? So it was a perfect day, a day which we will never forget!

Don’t worry, you’ll get to see the pictures as soon as possible. Right now there are 903 pictures of our wedding, but this will be increased in the next couple of days. So as soon as we’ve made a selection out of those, we’ll post this here and also on BioTecK.net!
Ok, Maybe one picture to start with!

As you might know our wedding ceremony was broadcasted live on the internet, due to the fact that a lot of my family member live outside The Netherlands. Anyway, We’re glad that a lot of people were able to watch the ceremony which is great.

Last but not least: through this post we would like to thank everyone who was at our wedding ceremony / wedding party and off course those who helped us out where needed!

Wedding Countdown: Just 1 Day To Go!

We’re finally getting there! Just 1 day to go and we will get married. Since the last blog update we’ve managed to arrange some last stuff.. Let’s call it: The Finishing touch!

So here’s another sum up of the things we’ve done/arranged in the last couple of days:

  • The wedding cake:
After a long time of looking for the right wedding cake we’ve finally found it! To be honest it’s a bit mistake to just call it a wedding cake, it’s actually a peace of art! You’re not getting to see it yet (neither can we) so you just have to wait to see the pictures of it after the wedding.
  • Some Iranian Traditions:
As you might know I (Behrad) was born in Iran and therefore we’ve chosen to include some Iranian traditions to our wedding.
  • Wedding ceremony
On 1st of September we had an interview with the person who’s doing our wedding ceremony. In this interview we told her how Jannie and me met, how long we’re together etc etc. This is later going to be used at the wedding ceremony. We have also discussed some other (very important) details of the ceremony! We can not wait!
  • Our wedding ceremony live on the internet
As a lot of my relatives live outside of Holland and they can’t celebrate this day with us we’ve chosen to broadcast our wedding ceremony live on the internet.
All you have to do is click on this link on the 4th of September 2009 at 16 o’clock. Link to see the wedding ceremony…
PS: Please note that the wedding ceremony will start at 16 o’clock SHARP and that you’re not able to see anything until 16 o’clock! So don’t worry and have patient! Ow.. I almost forgot… The time would be 16:00 (GMT+1)…
In order to see the wedding ceremony you must have installed the Microsoft Media Player version 7 or later on your computer.

As you can see we’re almost finished with arranging and preparations.. We still have to do some small things, like printing the menu cards (which are printed right now!), but that’s not going to cost us a lot of time! This will be the last post before our marriage but we will come back with the pictures / video’s from our wedding ceremony and party, so make sure to come back!

Another Small Update!!

As I already mentioned in the last post called: “Wedding Countdown: 6 Weeks To Go Till The BIG Day!” we still had some points in our 2Dolist which we should take care off. During the last couple of day’s we’re able to strike through some of those points:

Wedding car:
We finally managed to rent a beautiful wedding car. As mentioned before I don’t like oldtimers so therefore we’ve chosen for a beautiful white Mercedes-Benz GLK 280 7-GTronic with 19″ rims!
Please see the pictures here below, isn’t it a beauty?

Behrad’s blouse & tie:
After a long day of searching for the right blouse and tie I was able to find the exact colors which I was looking for! Lucky me.. Unfortunately I haven’t found the right shoes yet!

Our Wedding diner menu:
For our day guests I have designed the diner menu in the same style as our wedding card/invitations.. Not all our guests are from Holland so therefore I made the diner menu’s in 2 languages. You want to see it? Well, check it out here below!

Yeah, time flies when you’re having fun! That’s one of the reason why the blog hasn’t been updated for a while; however this doesn’t mean that we’re doing nothing!
We’re still busy with arranging the last things for our wedding cause it’s just 6 more weeks to go and then we will get married.

Over the last couple of weeks we’ve done a lot for our wedding.. So it’s time for a small round up!

  • The wedding cards
Thanks to Jannie who had to write the names & address on every envelop by hand, all the wedding cards has been send out. As far as we know everyone have received the wedding cards/invitations…
In the mean time I’ve called with some of my family members, who don’t live in The Netherlands, and they’re coming over from Sweden, Italy and maybe even from Canada! So we’re really looking forward to that!
  • Jannie’s dress
Jannie had already bought her dress but Saturday she picked up her dress and shoes! I just can’t wait till I see her  in that dress!
  • Behrad’s suit
Yeah, I have finally bought my suit which is black. I still have to buy a blouse, shoes and last but  not least: A TIE!
  • ME2YOU Wedding stuff
Just a couple of weeks ago, as we were walking pass “Expo” we saw this very cool “me2you” wedding guest book. Jannie and me liked it very much and so we had to buy it! Beside that we also bought a me2you wedding photo album, wedding photo frame and the wedding “poppets” which are going to be placed on the wedding cake. I’ll make a picture of it and post it asap..

This round up might look small but believe me that this has cost us a lot of time!

So what’s on our 2Do list? Well, we still have to arrange some small parts such as:

  • Arranging a wedding car. Nope.. not an oldtimer as we don’t like that. We I’m looking for a new modern car!
  • Compiling a  list of our favorite music songs. This is going to be a very long list as it has to include Iranian, Dutch and English songs!
  • Choosing the wedding cake
  • Packing our stuff for our honeymoon!

We’re almost getting there, just 6 more weeks to go till the BIG day! We will keep you posted, till the next update!

Yeah, the wedding cards are finally ready & printed!
Jannie and me just picked them up and they look just wonderful! Just take a look at the card here below!
Off course this is the English version but believe me all of them looks wonderful.

Obviously as we have to send them by post to our guests, we also have bought envelopes with the exact matching red color..

Now we’ll have to write down the names and address of our guest on the envelop and put them in mail!

Designing The Wedding Card!

It’s been a “while” since the last update on BJ-Alborz.com, but please forgive us as this are very busy times for us..

According to our wedding “checklist” (which is created and updated by Jannie), we should send out the wedding card/wedding invitations at the end of this month. However.. In order to send out the wedding cards we should have the wedding cards first, right?

So here’s where I come in.. So for the last couple of days I’ve been busy designing our wedding card. I just love to work on our wedding card, which should be printed in 3 (!) different versions! Two in Dutch for day guest and party guests and one in English for my family all around the world!
Right now there are still some things which I just have to adjust and after that the wedding cards will be printed, I guess that it would at the end of the month.

Off course the wedding card will be post here when it’s finished!

Yeah, our wedding rings are finally ready! Last week we received a phone call from the jewelry that our rings are ready to be picked up. We were really excited about this, so on Thursday we picked up our wedding rings and believe me they are beautiful, just look at the picture here below!

The wedding rings are a combination of white and yellow gold, with 6 real diamonds (on Jannie’s ring), and engraved with our names and our wedding date. We can’t wait till we can finally wear these beautiful rings.
